Production Guide for SprintCar Pro Teams

Use SCP V2 as the main production app for cars, tracks, setup records, inventory, Crew Chief Advisor recommendations, telemetry, reports, accounting, team access, and data backup.

1. Getting Started

Open the production app

  1. Go to sprintcarpro.com/sprintcarpro_v2/.
  2. Sign in with your SprintCar Pro account.
  3. Choose Open SCP Workspace to load the main race-team workspace.
  4. Use the top links for Team Manager, Accounting, Telemetry, and Reports when needed.
Production note: SCP V2 is the production app. Older app links should be treated as archive or rollback only.

30-day trial

  1. Start the free trial from the homepage or trial page.
  2. No credit card is required for the 30-day app trial.
  3. Use the app normally during the trial.
  4. When the trial expires, subscribe to continue production use.

Paid subscriptions and team-member access take priority over trial status.

Install as an app

  1. Open SCP V2 in Chrome.
  2. Use Chrome's address-bar install icon or menu, then choose Install app.
  3. The installed app uses the SCP icon and opens like a desktop app.
  4. When a new version is available, use the in-app update notice or reload after upload.

Best first setup

  1. Create one car.
  2. Create or import one track.
  3. Create one baseline setup for that car and track.
  4. Add the most important inventory items: torsion bars, shocks, tires, gears, engine package.
  5. Run a backup/sync after the first complete entry.

2. Race-Team Workflow

Cars

  1. Open the Cars tab.
  2. Enter car name, number, chassis brand, engine class, manufacturer profile, rear gear notes, and baseline notes.
  3. Click Save car.
  4. Use Rename car when the car identity changes but historical setups should stay linked.
  5. Use Delete car only when the car should be removed from the active car list.
Deleting a car removes it from the car list, but existing setup records remain saved for history.

Tracks

  1. Open the Tracks tab.
  2. Add track name, location, length, surface, banking, shape, and notes.
  3. Save tracks you race often so they appear in setup dropdowns.
  4. Use the track directory/import tools for master track lists when available.

Keep track names consistent. Clean track names make reports and setup history easier to compare.

Setups

  1. Open the Setups tab.
  2. Choose the saved car and saved track.
  3. Enter date, session name, track condition, weather, engine notes, chassis setup, tire/stagger notes, driver feel, and detailed notes.
  4. Click Save setup.
  5. Use Print setup sheet for a clean paper setup sheet.
Race-night habit: after every hot lap, heat, B-main, or A-main change, save a new setup entry or duplicate the current one and write what changed.

3. Inventory and Parts

Add or edit a part

  1. Open Inventory.
  2. Choose a category such as Suspension, Engine, Driveline, Wheels/Tires, Brakes, Fuel, Electrical, Tools, or Other.
  3. Choose a subcategory, for example Torsion bars.
  4. Enter part name, part number, brand, quantity, needed quantity, supplier, and notes.
  5. Use Assign to car to install or assign the part to a saved car.
  6. Click Save part.

Quantity rules

  • The quantity field is authoritative. If you change a part from 12 to 1, the app should show 1 immediately and after refresh.
  • The visible inventory header, row, car bucket, and transfer dropdown should all update after save.
  • If a quantity looks wrong, refresh the page and check the row again. If it still looks wrong, do not keep editing duplicates. Report the part name, car, and expected quantity.

Installed inventory

The Cars tab shows parts assigned to the selected car. This is useful for seeing what bars, shocks, engine pieces, or other parts are currently tied to that car.

  1. Select a car on the Cars tab.
  2. Review Installed inventory.
  3. To change assigned parts, go back to Inventory and edit the part's car assignment.

Engines

Use the engine and engine-package fields to track engine class, service notes, package details, and performance notes. Connect engine notes to setup records so a setup makes sense later.

4. Crew Chief Advisor / Setup Recommendation Advisor

How to use it

  1. Open Setups and load or create the setup you want to evaluate.
  2. Fill in the car, track, weather, chassis setup, track condition, driver feel, and notes as completely as possible.
  3. In the Crew Chief Advisor section, choose the driver complaint, track grip, and phase affected.
  4. Add a short driver note such as "tight center" or "loose off".
  5. Click Recommend Changes.

What the advisor returns

  • Recommendation priority.
  • Plain-language setup change.
  • Expected result.
  • Risk or caution.
  • Available-parts check.
  • Next-session note.

Use Add to Setup Notes to keep the recommendation with the setup record.

Safety rule: recommendations are advisory only. The crew chief must verify safety, rules, tire limits, chassis manufacturer guidance, and driver comfort before making changes.

5. Data Retention, Sync, and Backup

How SCP stores data

  • SCP keeps a local team vault in the browser for fast work at the track.
  • Team sync pushes and pulls team snapshots when the account has access.
  • Retention logic protects saved setups, cars, tracks, inventory, and backups from accidental replacement by incomplete sync data.

Backup habit

  1. Save each important setup or inventory change.
  2. Use cloud backup/sync before leaving the shop.
  3. Sync again after the race night.
  4. Before using another device, pull/open the same team and confirm recent setups are present.

If a setup appears missing

  1. Check filters on the Setups tab.
  2. Search by date, track, car, or session name.
  3. Refresh the workspace and check again.
  4. Pull the latest team snapshot only after confirming the team account is correct.
  5. Report the missing date and whether it exists in an older copy.

Production caution

Do not clear browser data, local storage, or site data for sprintcarpro.com unless you already have a known-good cloud backup or exported backup.

6. Team Manager and Roles

Each team should use one production team workspace. Avoid creating duplicate teams for the same race program unless there is a clear reason.

7. Reports, Telemetry, Accounting, and Weather

Analytics and Reports

Use Analytics and Reports to review setup history, inventory, engine notes, and race-night data. Reports are most useful when car, track, date, session, and notes are entered consistently.

Telemetry

Use the Android telemetry workflow to record GPS-based session data, export it, and review car path, speed, laps, and session context in SprintCar Pro.

Accounting

Use Accounting for sponsor invoices, tax setup, payments, expenses, ledger work, and trial balance. Keep accounting records separate from setup notes.

Weather

Use the Weather tab and setup weather fields to connect setup decisions with air temperature, track temperature, wind, moisture, cushion, and track condition.

8. Troubleshooting

Inventory quantity says saved but does not changeRefresh the app, reopen Inventory, and check the row. If the old value remains, report the part name, car assignment, old quantity, new quantity, and whether the save notice appeared.
Deleted car returnsRefresh after deleting. If it returns again, report the car name/number. The production delete flow writes a tombstone so retention should not restore deleted cars.
Setup missing after syncCheck filters, search by date and track, then verify the correct team account is open. Do not overwrite backups until the missing date is investigated.
Crew Chief Advisor seems contradictorySave the setup, refresh, and run the recommendation again with one clear complaint and phase. The production filter removes opposite same-family recommendations where possible.
Trial says expired too earlySign out and back in, then open SCP V2 again. Paid access should override trial metadata. New trial accounts should get a 30-day app trial without checkout.
Support checklist: when reporting a bug, include account/team, browser, page/tab, exact item name, exact expected value, exact shown value, and whether it survives refresh.

Open the Production Workspace

Use SCP V2 for all current production work. Keep the older app only as an archive or emergency rollback.
