A paper notebook can help capture details between sessions, alongside your SprintCar Pro setup history. The useful part is a consistent record: the same car, the same session name and enough context to understand the numbers later.
Give every session a clear identity
Start each entry with the date, track, car and session name. Note track conditions and the driver’s feedback while they are fresh. When recording a change, include what changed and when, so an observation from one run does not get attached to another.
Keep measurements comparable
Write units beside measurements and label each corner clearly when recording wheel weights or tire pressures. Include the driver and fuel context in your notes. If a value needs checking, mark it as unverified rather than turning it into a baseline. Use your equipment manufacturer’s procedure for taking measurements.
Choose a notebook for your routine
Compare page size, binding, writing space and the manufacturer’s stated weather resistance. Check which pens or pencils the paper supports. A small notebook may fit a pocket; a larger format may leave more room for setup notes. Choose around the way your crew actually records information.

Rite in the Rain 3 × 5 notebook, 3-pack
The No. 135-3X pack contains three yellow top-spiral notebooks with a universal page pattern and Polydura covers. The pocket format suits short session notes; consider a larger format if you need detailed setup tables.
Writing tools: Use pencil or an appropriate all-weather pen. Ordinary water-based ink is unsuitable for this weatherproof paper.
Rite in the Rain Pokka pens, 3-pack
The TAC92 pack contains three compact all-weather pens with black 0.8 mm ink. Each has a pressurized cartridge and a reversible cap that extends the pen for writing.
Optional companion: Designed for use with Rite in the Rain paper. A pencil is also an option; these pens are not required to use SprintCar Pro.
Check the selected pack size, specifications, seller and current terms on Amazon.ca before ordering. These are optional recording supplies.
Bring the notes back into your setup history
After the session, match your written notes to the correct car, track and saved setup. Keep the original entry until you have checked the record. A faster lap in different conditions does not by itself establish that a setup change caused the improvement.
See the SprintCar Pro user manual for the setup-recording workflow and instructions for keeping an independent backup of your team data.
