1. Start with one car, one track and one setup

1. Open SprintCar Pro and sign in with the account that owns your subscription, trial or team invitation.
2. Select Install app on the dashboard. Accept your browser’s install prompt. If no prompt appears, use the instructions shown there: Chrome/Edge install menu, Android Add to Home screen, or Safari Share → Add to Home Screen on iPhone/iPad.
3. Select Open Workspace. Workspace opens on Cars each time.
4. Save one car, one track and one baseline setup. Download an independent backup before moving to a different device.

The dashboard offers Workspace, Team & crew, Telemetry, Backup & restore and My account. Options inside Workspace contains only backup and restore.

Before travelling, open the installed app while online and confirm your current records are present. Local records can be used offline after the app and access context are cached. Website saves, fresh account verification, weather and other network services need internet access.

2. Cars and custom chassis

1. Open Cars. Select an existing car to edit it, or use New.
2. Enter a recognizable car name, number, chassis brand, engine class and relevant gear notes.
3. In Vehicle & chassis, choose vehicle family, wing configuration, racing surface and rail construction. Record the chassis builder, model, year and notes.
4. For reuse, enter a profile name and select Save / update chassis profile. A profile records your configuration; it does not create factory setup specifications.
5. Select Save car. Use Rename car when you want history to stay connected to the same car.

The currently supplied Maxim and Triple X profiles are raised rail. Confirm the actual construction of your car. Custom chassis can be raised rail, standard rail or custom construction.

SCP supports records for full-size sprint cars, non-wing cars, midgets, 600 micro sprints and other custom cars, on dirt or pavement. Automated tuning guidance is currently restricted to full-size winged dirt sprint cars. Other configurations use manual setup records.

Add your track

In Tracks, save the track name, location, surface, length, banking and notes. Use consistent names so future setup searches are meaningful. Tracks supports Dirt, Asphalt, Concrete and Pavement. Use the Track surface filter to browse saved tracks, or select Add pavement track pack (7) for the sourced starter ovals; duplicates are skipped. Setups defaults to Match car surface, with All surfaces available when needed. The selected historical track stays visible even if it differs from that filter.

3. Save the setup for each session

1. Open Setups and select your car and track.
2. Enter the date and a clear session name, such as “Heat 1” or “Main”.
3. Record conditions, weather, engine/driveline notes, chassis measurements, shocks, tire pressures, stagger and driver feedback. Use the displayed units.
4. Confirm the session’s vehicle configuration. Saved setups retain their own configuration snapshot and track-surface snapshot. Later edits to the track directory do not rewrite the surface of an earlier session.
5. Select Save setup. Save a separate setup for the next session so the earlier run remains available.
6. Use setup comparison to review recorded differences and print a setup sheet when you need a paper copy.

Wheel scales

1. Open the wheel-scale section of the setup and choose lb or kg.
2. Enter LF, RF, LR and RR measured weights. All four are required for meaningful percentages.
3. Record the date, whether the driver was aboard, fuel amount and weighing notes.
4. Review total weight, left percentage, rear percentage and cross percentage. SCP defines cross as (RF + LR) ÷ total × 100.
5. Save the setup. The measurements are included with its history, comparison and printed sheet.

Changing units converts entered weights. Weigh on a level surface using your scale manufacturer’s procedure; compare measurements taken with the same driver/fuel conditions. Coil-spring rates, suspension type and drivetrain notes are available where relevant.

Setup advice

For supported winged dirt sprint cars, provide the driver complaint, corner phase, grip and recorded setup before requesting advice. Recommendations require crew-chief judgment and the correct manufacturer’s instructions; a generic rule is not a measured prediction for your car. SCP blocks this guidance for unsupported vehicle configurations.

4. Parts and engines

Use Inventory to record parts, categories, quantities, storage locations and car assignments. Use engine records for complete engines and service notes; do not create a second complete engine simply because one of its parts is in inventory.

The selected car shows assigned inventory. Reopen the saved item to verify any important quantity or assignment change. Connect the engine and gearing notes to the session setup so the historical record makes sense.

5. Backup, restore and changing devices

SCP keeps a local working copy and stores team saves on the website when online. Use the same account and browser profile consistently. An independent downloaded backup protects you when a browser profile or device changes.

Download a backup

1. Save your edits.
2. Open Options → Download backup.
3. Keep the downloaded JSON file somewhere you can recover if the computer fails. It contains the active team’s workspace and associated vault data.

Restore a backup

1. Download a backup of the current copy first.
2. Open Options → Restore a backup.
3. Select your saved SCP vault JSON file, choose Import Backup and read the replacement confirmation before accepting.
4. Return to Workspace and verify the cars, setups and recent session you expected.

Do not clear site data to fix missing records. Check the account, browser profile and setup filters first. If the app reports conflicting copies, preserve both before reconciling. Automatic Google Drive backup is not configured; do not assume a copy is being sent to Drive.

When switching devices, connect the original device first, confirm its website save, and download a backup. Sign in on the new device with the same team account and verify the latest records before editing. Avoid editing the same team in several stale tabs.

6. Team access and telemetry

Open Team & crew on the dashboard. An authorized owner can invite/add a crew member using their own email and assign the appropriate role. Team Annual provides shared access for up to eight members. Use individual logins rather than sharing the owner’s password.

Telemetry opens the separate import/viewer workflow. See the Android telemetry instructions for recording and transfer. GPS analysis supports reviewing a run; it is not a replacement for an officially approved timing system.

Weather and driver feedback provide context for comparing setups. A faster lap in different conditions does not, by itself, prove that a change improved the car.
